Amsterdam, the Netherlands, May 31, 2019 -- Internet veteran and Asteroid International CEO, Remco van Mook has been re-elected to the RIPE NCC Executive board.

The RIPE NCC, a not-for-profit membership association, is the Regional Internet Registry (RIR) in Europe, Middle East and parts of Central Asia. As an RIR, they allocate and register blocks of Internet number resources, such as IPv4 and IPv6 address space and Autonomous System Numbers (ASNs) to Internet service providers (ISPs) and other Internet organisations in their wide service region.

Remco van Mook is the CEO of Asteroid International, an Internet Exchange Point (IXP) platform innovator, operating neutral IXPs worldwide.

Remco has served on the RIPE NCC Executive board since 2010. His re-election to the board is for another three-year term.
